Director of Global Partnerships and Grants

The Director of Global Partnerships and Grants will help provide leadership and administration for our global ministry. This position is a critical part of the organization and will work closely with the Vice President of Global and the global team to achieve departmental goals. The focus of this position is to secure partnerships with churches, agencies, groups, and businesses with the purpose of recruiting mission teams, child sponsors, donors, and volunteers. The Director will develop strategies for facilitating the acquisition of grants and assist with implementation and evaluation of newly implemented grant funded programs.

Some Essential Duties and Functions are:

  • Collaborate inter-departmentally and lead in the facilitation of grants to advance One More Child’s Global Christ-centered initiatives in the areas of anti-trafficking, child hunger, family support, foster care, and single moms. Types of grants to acquire include USAID, private foundations, agencies, business, etc.
  • Collaborate with One More Child staff and global partners to plan, implement, and evaluate grant funded programs and initiatives. Extensive research, writing, communication with staff and partners, and completion of reports are necessary to accomplish the application and implementation of grant funded programs and initiatives.
  • Organize and lead communication and meetings with global partners and staff, focusing on the planning and strategy for grants applied for and received. Attention to detail required.
  • Develop donor and volunteer support related to grant funded programs and initiatives. Incorporate grant funded projects into the mission team strategy.
  • Work closely with One More Child global staff to achieve personal and global department goals. Provide strategic planning leadership that allows for success in the global ministry.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities for personal growth. Provide missions, leadership, and child welfare expertise and training for volunteers, global partners, and others in the global community.
  • Facilitate and help lead the work of mission teams, including the recruitment of teams, team preparation, and organizing in-country logistics.
  • Complete and submit accurate ministry reports, financial reports, and expense reports in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of all communication and activity with churches, community groups, and individuals in Raisers Edge and in other related websites and databases.
  • Travel required. Up to 50% of duties are performed away from the office in global and domestic travel. Global travel includes strategic vision teams and leading mission teams. Domestic travel includes travel to churches, organizations, schools, and conferences to further the global ministry.
  • Accept other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required and a Master’s degree in a related ministry field preferred.
  • Desire to do additional systematic self-study and other training to upgrade knowledge and skills.
  • Experience in public speaking, project management, development and PR, budget management, and strategic planning desired.
  • Experience in international missions and direct experience in working with nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) is a plus.
  • Experience in grant acquisition and implementation.
  • Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken, is highly recommended.
