Senior Director of Programs –


One More Child is seeking to employ a Senior Director of Programs for the Lakeland area. The Senior Director of Programs collects, coordinates, and synthesizes information from diverse data sources within child welfare content areas that promote strategies, best practices, and quality implementation of programmatic processes. Responsibilities also include program evaluation and enhancement initiatives, lead trauma-informed organizational directives, development of program policies and procedures, capacity building work, lead grant proposal writing, and completing other project management tasks, such as research initiatives in areas of federal and state models of care, program expansion, and federal, state and local opportunities.

Essential Duties & Functions:

  • Synthesize information and research from diverse data sources and make them relevant for the improvement of all program areas as well as the organization.
  • Act as the agency expert regarding clearinghouse(s) for evidence base tool knowledge and determination for program intervention utilization and program enhancement development.
  • Lead agency in becoming a trauma-informed organization in all facets of its system designs, implementation and continual facilitation and improvements as such.
  • Query, extract and analyze data, patterns, and related trends to include but not limited to federal, state, local, etc., and synthesize the data into information consumable by leadership and staff.
  • Collaborates with the Vice President of Programs regarding the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and replication of all programs and initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Master’s degree, preferably in social science, public policy, public health, or public administration. A Bachelor’s degree plus five years additional relevant experience may substitute for an advanced degree.

Previous Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in applied social science, public policy, or public health evaluation with increasing responsibility and experience managing staff and leading large projects.
