Brevard

A packed camper and a backpack full of road-trip snacks – this is the length Jennifer and Nick Ruip go to show love to their family.

When the family found out one of the foster children living with them would be transferred out of state to a relative home, transitioning to a new placement alone was not an option. With court approval, the family purchased a camper and traveled across the country to make a smooth transition (and family vacation) for their foster child.

The Ruip’s have been One More Child licensed foster parents since 2020.  The couple have been parents to nine foster children during this time, and every child experiences the love of Christ through weekly church attendance, Bible study and devotion time at home.

“Jennifer and Nick have Christ at the center of their lives. When faced with difficulties as foster parents, they turn to God and His Word to help them through.”

Jesus calls us to put others before ourselves, and it is with this calling that the Ruips step in obedience to what God calls them to every day.

Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility, count others more significant than yourselves. Philippians 2:3 (ESV)
