A Piece of Our Heart

The team was so sad to leave Kamonkoli. Those of us who made this trip to Ugand now we know for ourselves why they are so special. One of the team members summed it up well when she said, “how can you come to love someone in a few short days?” Leaving very early in the morning, before the children were awake made leaving slightly easier.

We made our first stop in a town called Soroti, about an hour from Kamonkoli. One More Child is in partnership with a small church there. Our plan was to take 50 bags of food to the families of sponsored children. As we arrived, women waving flags out in the street greeted us. It was a loud, raucous greeting. We were invited into the church where the pastor and other fruits. There was not a dry eye among us!

I think it is safe to say that we all left a piece of our heart in Uganddaughters. Please consider helping. You will change a child’s life, which in turn could change a community, a country or even the world.
