Well sadly our trip has come to and end. I’m going to miss it here so much, but hopefully I’ll be able to return again next year!

To start off our morning we loaded the buses with all of our belongings and drove back to Santo Domingo. Most of us slept the whole ride since we woke up at 5:00 am!

When we arrived we had Krispy Kreme!! That was such a treat! Most of us ate about 3 donuts each!! With full bellies we drove around sight seeing. We saw so many beautiful things and the water is always so incredibly blue! We got to tour a fort and the first church that was built there. Both were absolutely magnificent and amazing; it was incredible to see that even way back then people could build things up so grand!

We got to go to a souvenir shop and buy treasures for our family at home. Mr. Ashley, a member of our team, had the amazing privilege to meet the child he sponsors, and he also got to meet her mother. It was so beautiful to watch them interact with one another. After sight seeing we got to eat a sandwiches from a very special place to Cesar. It was a great last meal to have in the Dominican Republic. Then it was time to go to the airport. When we got there we said our goodbyes to our sweet bus drivers and translators. They have become such a special part of my life and I hope I’ll be able to see them again next year! After checking our bags in and getting our passports checked we had to say goodbye to Cesar. Everybody on this trip has blessed me in ways I can’t explain. Everyone has become family to me and I know I’ll never forget them. I had such an amazing experience on this trip and I know I’ll be forever changed by it!
