We had an amazing day, full of “wows”!
God kept us safe as we traveled from the airport to Azua, we saw goats and cows along the road, beautiful crafts and ate one-of-a-kind delicious candy at Tres Rosas.
Cesar gave us a thorough history lesson on the Dominican Republic. He is cheerful and informative. After a very delicious meal that Lucila cooked we shared all the wonders of God that we saw today.
Breakfast in the DR is very special. We had traditional American foods and Dominican foods to choose from. Today we toured the work site and shared church service with the families that live in the community. Although we could not speak the language, the people in the church came and hugged us all. The children were amazingly friendly, sitting with us during service and being affectionate. We are looking forward to the rest of the week!
