Up at 5:30am today and still a little tired from the concrete pour yesterday. We had a great breakfast at 6:30am, like always, followed by group devotion. Then on the bus again heading to the work site!
Our team was like a well oiled machine this morning, putting the rest of the blocks up. They went up fast, and boy did it look good. What a joy and blessing to see the walls completed. Not long after that, it was “off” to meet the children for the morning VBS session.
I had a great moment this morning with a young boy about 8 year old. We were playing outside, and then when the group went inside, he found me and sat down beside me. Today’s lesson was on the story of David and Goliath, and the kids really enjoyed it.
After lunch we had the privilege to distribute the sponsorship baskets to 16 of the sponsored families. What a joy to see their face as the listened to the plan of Salvation. This was followed by a second VBS session, and more time playing with the kids. It was such a blessing to see my little buddy from the morning session return in the afternoon.
We finished the day with another marvelous experience, helping to distribute new Backpacks to 75 children from the local school. What an amazing day, full of blessings being the hands and feet of Jesus.
