We began our day with praise and worship. Ricardo led us on his guitar and Jeff led the devotion. It was a special time, worshiping our Lord in this strange but beautiful place, all together.
Our first full day in Guatemala was spent visiting a few sites in the city and getting acclimated to the elevation and climate. We had the opportunity to visit a coffee plantation where team members could choose to go zip lining, ride donkeys, or tour the plantation.
Many of our team members were scared to try zip lining but got caught up in the excitement and encouragement from the group and actually did it! They were all very glad they did.
It was a great team building day. We are getting to know each other better and having a lot of fun doing it. We are all in an unfamiliar place working toward a common purpose, supporting one another. And pushing one another off the zip line platform if needed. 🙂
