Early one morning, a staff member from One More Child entered the safe home to a sound that was familiar yet devastatingly beautiful.
The artist was Ella*, a safe home resident and her Creator were the only two in the room.
What took place? What had Ella come to grips with during her time alone with God? Release. Freedom. Healing. Ella’s moment is owed to a powerful and redeeming God, who offered His own Son to bring people, like Ella, life to the fullest (John 10:10).
As the hymn says:
Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.
There sat Ella, a survivor of child sex trafficking with no previous relationship with Christ before entering the One More Child safe home. Our expert staff offers each victim counsel and ultimately we exist to embody the redeeming love of Christ that offers the greatest hope in situations that seemed irredeemable.
Ella was broken but not forgotten, a child of God who eventually bellowed her praise towards God the Father and Jesus the Savior.
