Five years and counting with 10 foster children, the Barbers continue to love their neighbors with the purpose God has placed in their hearts – no matter how busy or complicated.
Their foster care adventure began in 2018. The family has four biological children, but they do not shy away from their calling to be foster parents. On multiple occasions, the family has had a full house, accepting sibling pairs to ensure they stay together during holidays and important events.
“The Barbers are wise because they are rooted in God’s Word and have a strong Christian community around them.” It is in this Christian community that they cultivate a growing garden of hospitality and let it bloom into their family. They help their neighbors in need, including other foster families, by donating clothes to a local foster closet. The Barbers serve their children and those the Lord has placed around them well.
