Double Your Donation
You can double your donation to One More Child in support of the vulnerable children and struggling families we serve during the 2026 Giving Challenge at 12 p.m. on April 15-26, 2026. Here’s how to double the impact of your financial contribution to One More Child…
What is the Giving Challenge?
The Community Foundation of Sarasota County hosts this online giving event, connects approximately 700 nonprofit organizations with passionate donors and community members, and is a rallying point for diverse causes.
The Patterson Foundation will match unique gifts between $25 and $100 made to One More Child through the Giving Challenge website during the 24 hours on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
More about the Patterson Foundation’s match.
The Giving Challenge is more than just a fundraising event. It acts as a connection catalyst for meaningful relationships and partnerships while providing $75 million in unrestricted funding to nonprofits over eight challenges since 2012.
What Are You Contributing To?
Some moments don’t announce themselves as turning points—but they change everything. For Tessa,* a trafficking survivor, that moment came when fear was interrupted by the presence of One More Child advocates committed to her safety and her future.

Through constant coercion and threats of violence, Tessa was forced into exploitation and came to believe the abuse would never end. Each day felt the same as the last, leaving her convinced there was no safe way out and no one who would stand with her.
That belief began to break when Tessa was removed during a law enforcement operation and immediately met One More Child’s Anti-Trafficking Mobile Team. They stayed with her through the night, secured a safe place to stay, made critical calls, and helped her begin thinking about life beyond survival for the first time.
Later, when asked if she had anyone she could rely on, Tessa glanced at the advocates beside her and said, quietly but with certainty, “I do now.”
One More Child is a private, faith-based, 501(c)3 organization that has been providing life-changing services to vulnerable children and struggling families since 1904. Last year, the organization provided direct care services to 271,193 children and individuals and 18,730,589 million meals nationally and globally. All of this was possible because 100,692 individuals said “yes” to training, volunteering, and awareness efforts.
But reaching one more child and family is impossible without generous supporters like you and community partners like the Patterson Foundation.
