After years of enduring abuse, Elmer’s mom fled with her children.
Due to their desperate situation, we worked quickly together with our ministry partners to find Elmer a child sponsor.
The family sought help from one of our church partners in Nicaragua, and ultimately, we were able to help the family through our Child Sponsorship program. Elmer now receives the food, health care and education he needs to break the cycle of poverty.
Through the love and ministry of our partner church, Elmer has had the opportunity to hear the Gospel and study God’s Word. He has experienced the love of God in word and in deed, and we praise the Lord that Elmer has accepted Jesus as his Savior! Elmer was recently baptized as a proclamation of his new faith in Christ and in gratitude for what the Lord has done for him.
