Will you help us spread the word about
HIGH-PRIORITY sponsorships?
High-priority children have been sponsored in the past but recently lost their sponsorship support.
Known by Name
As part of One More Child’s ministry in Romania, we host a camp for vulnerable children, including many in our child sponsorship program. Denis was one of these children who attended the camp not knowing what to expect. The theme for camp was “Cunoscut pe nume”— or Known by Name.
After the lesson on the first night, Denis found his mentor, a One More Child team member, and asked a simple question. However, as Denis kept talking, he began to cry, and then he began to share what was truly on his heart.
In tears, he shared that he was angry—at God and at the life he had been given. The mentor did not hurry to explain away the anger, but rather listened, sat with him, heard his cries, and saw him in his pain.
Uganda: Peninah’s Journey to Healing
At 13 years old, Peninah is a brave young girl growing up in Uganda. Recently, she faced a painful challenge when a growth developed in her knee and required urgent surgery.
Thanks to the care of ministry staff and a dedicated medical team, Peninah received the treatment she needed and her surgery was a success!
Today, Peninah is recovering with a bright smile and a grateful heart, thanking God for His faithfulness and for the support that made her treatment possible.
Please pray for Peninah’s continued recovery and complete healing. Thank you for being part of her story and helping children like Peninah receive the care, support, and hope they need to thrive.
Much Needed Care Within Reach in Haiti
Maeva, a little girl participating in our baby feeding program in Haiti, has recently received much needed medical care and thankfully, One More Child’s partner was ready to answer the call.
When Maeva developed a skin condition that left her uncomfortable, her concerned parents knew she needed care. They brought her to the MOHI Clinic, where the medical team examined her and provided the treatment and medication she needed.
With proper care and her parents faithfully following the treatment plan, Maeva’s condition improved significantly. Today, she is feeling much better and she went back to being a happy, playful little girl.
Through your faithful support of One More Child, children like Maeva can receive medical care when they need it most.
Seema’s Silent Kitchen
In a small village in South Asia, Seema’s kitchen was usually filled with sounds and smells of life—the crackle of a stove, the mouthwatering aroma of a freshly prepared meal, and the laughter of hungry children, ready to eat. That used to be every day in Seema’s kitchen, until a crisis left it quiet.
Seema is a single mother who lost her husband years ago and has since become the sole provider for her children. One thing she could always rely on was the gas stove in her home, which let her easily cook for her family. But when the global oil crisis hit, propane cooking fuel became scarce in their village.
Hungry, discouraged, and exhausted, Seema’s family was in desperate need of help and hope.
Thankfully, that hope came in the form of One More Child’s daycare center near the village.
El Salvador: A Reminder that God Is Near
For years, life at home felt uncertain for young Sara. When her parents separated in 2023, her mother and grandmother became her primary caregivers. With her mother carrying the weight of providing for both her and the household, life became difficult for their family.
Sara had accepted Jesus into her heart at a young age, but the pain of her parents’ separation caused her to question whether God was still near to her. As she wrestled with this uncertainty, One More Child’s sponsorship program gave her a powerful reminder: she is not forgotten.
Through sponsorship, she has experienced God’s care in a tangible way. Knowing that her sponsor thinks of her, prays for her and looks out for her has strengthened her faith and reminded her that she is deeply loved.
Today, Sara and her family are grateful—not only for the practical support they have received, but for the hope, love, and renewed faith that have come through sponsorship. Her story is a beautiful reminder that God is always watching over His children, even in the hardest seasons.
Israel’s Inspiring Courage
Israel is part of a family of seven receiving support from One More Child. His life changed dramatically after he lost a leg in a house fire, bringing both physical and emotional challenges.
For a long time, even getting to medical appointments was difficult. His father would carry him on his back and walk across a river just to reach the bus for the two-hour journey to the doctor.
Through it all, Israel and his family remained strong. With support and access to the care he needed, Israel adapted remarkably well to his first prosthetic leg. And during a recent visit from his sponsor and a missionary team, he was back doing the very thing he loves: playing soccer!
Israel’s courage and faith continue to inspire those around him, reminding his community that even in the face of difficult circumstances, there is hope for a brighter future.
Bringing Relief to Displaced Families in Venezuela
On June 24, 2026, an earthquake struck La Guaira, Venezuela, leaving many families facing loss, grief, and uncertainty.
Moved with Compassion, One More Child stepped in to provide tangible help, relief, and hope.
In partnership with the First Baptist Church of Cúcuta in Colombia, our team traveled to Venezuela to serve those whose lives changed forever from this earthquake, delivering supplies, visiting families, and sharing the love of Jesus.
A team member shared the following testimony with us:
The First Baptist Church of Cúcuta, in partnership with Un Niño Más — One More Child, envisioned and worked to bring much more than just humanitarian aid. We wanted to bring hope. We wanted to bring the love of Christ.
Sponsorship Lightens the Load of Daily Struggles in the Dominican Republic
Life has not always been easy the Montero Beltre family in the Dominican Republic. Mother and father, Sonia and Luis Antonio faced challenges that made it difficult to provide for their family including a lack of education, health issues, and poor and unsafe living conditions. Still, they do what they can to care for their 14-year-old son Luis, their 21- year-old daughter Riana, and Riana’s 4-year-old daughter Angelica.
Thankfully, they have received help and support through sponsorship with One More Child. Luis and Angelica are both sponsored children, allowing their family to receive monthly food baskets that put nutritious food on the table and provide ongoing support for health, educational, and spiritual needs.
With their needs taken care of and consistent ongoing support through One More Child, Luis and Angelica are equipped and empowered to build brighter futures.
Sacrifical Giving in Costa Rica
Husband and wife, Sam and Sam (yes, they share the same first and last name), Batten’s passion for child sponsorship began with a mission trip. In partnership with One More Child and their church, they served on a mission team to Costa Rica and fell in love with the community and transformation taking place. While on this mission trip, they chose to sponsor a young girl on the spot and left Costa Rica with their hearts full.
After returning home, the Battens could not get the children of Costa Rica off their minds. God continued to impress upon their heart the impact of child sponsorship and the needs of children in Costa Rica. They led several others in their church to sponsor as well, but they still had this conviction to do more.
