Every year, Florida’s Statewide Council on Human Trafficking hosts a statewide summit to provide training, awareness, and resources to advance the mission of making Florida a zero-tolerance state for human trafficking. At the 2024 Human Trafficking Summit, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd presented as the keynote speaker and Attorney General Ashley Moody hosted an awards ceremony alongside Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Secretary Shevaun Harris, and Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) Secretary Eric Hall.
Among award recipients was One More Child’s Anti-Trafficking Team Supervisor Olivia Littleton, who received the Survivor Advocate of the Year award. This commendation was presented in recognition of Olivia’s impactful work in the Anti-Trafficking space, specifically her resolute dedication to fight for survivors of sexual exploitation.
“I’m humbled that my work has been recognized with this award, and I am dedicated to continuing to fight for restoration for survivors and an end to trafficking,” said Littleton.
“Thank you to all who have shared their wisdom in furthering my skills as an advocate, and most importantly, I am grateful to every survivor that has allowed me to step into their story and walk alongside them as they navigate healing, safety, and justice.”
As anti-trafficking team supervisor, Olivia Littleton collaborates with other anti-trafficking mobile team members to assess the needs of survivors and provide services. The dynamic trauma-informed approach of our mobile teams connects survivors with essential community resources, delivers clinical services, and provides mentorship throughout a survivor’s journey of emotional, physical, and mental recovery. Each mobile team consists of a supervisor, clinician, advocate, and peer mentor, forming a multidisciplinary approach to serving survivors.
