One More Child celebrates our President and CEO, Dr. Jerry Haag, on his reappointment to the Florida Faith-Based and Community-Based Advisory Council.
Appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis
Recently reappointed by Governor Ron DeSantis, Dr. Haag has served in this role through three gubernatorial administrations and has also served as board chair for three years. In a recent social media post, Dr. Haag expressed gratitude to Governor DeSantis for his appointment. This council, consisting of 11 members, plays a crucial role in advising the state government on enhancing social services throughout Florida.

The Florida Faith-Based and Community-Based Advisory Council aims to maximize collaboration between faith-based and community organizations and state agencies to strengthen individuals and families. Its mission is to facilitate connections that build resilient communities and support families in need.
As a formal advisory body to the Executive Office of the Governor and the Legislature, the council’s role is to engage, empower, and expand the work of volunteer, faith-based, and community-based organizations to improve social services for Floridians. Dr. Haag and his fellow council members will provide annual recommendations to the Governor and Legislature.
