Like many of One More Child’s foster parents, Aubrey and Jonathan Franzone thought they were just about done raising kids. Their youngest biological daughter was quickly approaching her teen years, and the days of diapers and tantrums were over.
A CALL TO ADOPT AND FOSTER
But the God of all comfort does not always ask His people to live comfortable lives. Rather, He promises to comfort them amid this world’s brokenness, and that is Aubrey and Jonathan’s story. The Franzones felt called to adopt and were matched with two little lives, a girl and boy, whom they joyfully welcomed into their home.
But the family realized adopting children four and five was only the beginning when they found out their new little girl had biological siblings in foster care. The Franzones knew they needed to take them in, and that’s when the Lord showed up.
WALKING BY FAITH
As many foster care parents do, the Frazones quickly faced hardships, but leaning on God’s sovereignty and with peace in uncertainty, they allowed the Lord to lead them to One More Child’s foster care ministry. One More Child helped give Aubrey and Jonathan a voice to advocate for their little foster placements, and eventually, these two would become children numbers six and seven for the family.
As the children were being adopted, God again stirred their hearts to accept the placement of a newborn boy who is also now in the process of being adopted, giving him a forever home as child number eight.
Aubrey and Jonathan stepped out of their comfort zone, and God brought them blessings they could have never imagined.
