Florida Southern College students have stepped up to make a meaningful impact on the lives of human trafficking survivors through a thoughtful initiative led by Resident Advisor Chloe Lanham. Lanham organized the “Pack a Little Love” donation drive to support One More Child’s Anti-Trafficking Comfort Kits as part of programming for Joseph Reynolds Residence Hall.
The Comfort Kits, distributed by One More Child’s 24/7 mobile teams, provide essential items to survivors who often lack access to basic necessities. Over the course of several weeks, students from Joseph Reynolds and Allan Spivey residence halls joined forces, donating items such as toothbrushes, non-perishable food, colored pencils, and cozy blankets.

The Importance of Comfort Kits for Survivors
For survivors of human trafficking, the journey to healing is complex and often begins with meeting their most immediate needs. Many survivors enter One More Child’s care with Items as simple as a toothbrush or a warm blanket can provide comfort, dignity, and a sense of security during a vulnerable time.
One More Child’s Anti-Trafficking program works tirelessly to meet these needs and provide long-term support for survivors. From crisis intervention to trauma-informed counseling, and life-skills training, our mission is to help survivors rebuild their lives and find hope for the future.
The Comfort Kits serve as a bridge, offering survivors the basics they need while opening the door to deeper, more comprehensive care.
In Florida alone, human trafficking is a significant issue, ranking third among the states with the highest number of reported cases. This makes the work of One More Child—and the support of partners like Florida Southern College students—critical in combating this crisis and creating pathways to restoration for survivors.
