She keeps listening to the Lord and trusting His plan. Her life is a reflection of this trust.
Shari Jabbar is a single mom who has fostered 27 children in three and a half years. She has raised five biological children who are now starting their own families, and she knows foster care is her calling in this chapter of life.
“I have always felt led to become a foster parent,” says Shari. “I love being a part of making those memories with kids that will last a lifetime.”
Because of these memories, saying goodbye is the hardest, but Shari continues to rest in the fact that God is who she puts her hope in to lead her children’s lives. Shari has helped 12 children successfully reunify with their parents and relatives.
One particular experience that has made a difference in Shari’s life is seeing the Lord work in her home. Eight children who stayed with Shari have accepted Jesus, and she continues to pray that each child who walks through her doors will know the love of Christ.
Shari currently is a foster mom to nine children, who are from three sibling groups, including a brother and sister who she will soon adopt! She is simply an amazing model of Christ’s love.
