This three-pronged focus is based on the concept that no matter the ministry, there are three essential needs before transformation can begin:

Prayer

Keep on asking, and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7 (NLT)

Respite

Rest in the shade of the tree while water is brought to wash your feet. Genesis 18:4 (NLT)

Resources

Here’s the lesson: Use your worldly resources to benefit others and make friends. Luke 16:9 (NLT)

Start with prayer.

  • Pray for the plight of the unborn.
  • Pray for young women to make life-affirming decisions.
  • Volunteer at a local pregnancy care center.
  • Offer to babysit for a single mom.
  • Work through the local pregnancy care center or a ministry organization in your area by mentoring a single mom who chose life for her child.
  • Host a Sanctity of Human Life awareness event in January.

Utilize resources.

  • Support the semi-annual Sound the Call Conference sponsored by One More Child.
  • Provide a scholarship for your volunteer advocates to attend.
  • Donate greatly needed baby items to your local Christian crisis pregnancy care center.
  • Encourage adoption in your church by helping a family raise financial resources needed for a private adoption.
