WHAT IS MAKER’S BOXTM?

Maker’s Box™ exists to combat the spiritual war on the hearts and minds of young, vulnerable children.

This remarkable, all-in-one children’s discipleship box series is specifically designed to help children – especially those who are hurting – connect with God as their Maker!

Available in English and Spanish, this Maker’s Box™ makes connecting with God simple, engaging, and fun by revealing attributes of God , so children can more easily understand life through the lens of Scripture, rather than through their experience or feelings.

The Gospel is woven through four lessons, Scripture memory cards, and crafts, so children are anchored in truth, as they play and craft as “young makers” made in His image!

A complete box will provide everything you need for four lessons and crafts/memory cards to teach three children. Have more than three children? Order extra crafts and memory card sets as needed

Why is Maker’s Box™ important?

There is a war on the hearts and minds of all children – especially those who have experienced deep trauma. Understanding who God is as He reveals Himself through Scripture and the knowledge of the rich truths of the gospel can provide a solid foundation and hope and healing to children everywhere.

What age is it for?

Although written primarily for elementary-age children, Maker’s Box™ is a valuable discipleship tool for all ages – from preschool up to adults! Leaders can use lessons as a general guide to simplify or advance the teaching points based on their audience. Crafts and visuals help the lessons “stick” for all ages. Some of the themes have bonus materials available through a QR code in the Leader’s Guide, providing storybooks and skits to emphasize the lesson.

Carl Toth

Executive Director of Maker's Box

Carl Toth serves as the Executive Director of Maker’s Box, One More Child’s premier discipleship resource for children. 

Hailing from Cazenovia, New York, Carl brings more than thirty years of experience serving in various roles within churches to his position at One More Child. He holds a degree in business administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology and has also worked as a business analyst with Dun & Bradstreet in Florida.

Following a call to ministry, Carl graduated with a master of divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he met his wife, Jill. Having witnessed the spiritual and emotional challenges faced by vulnerable children through the eyes of their adopted five-year-old daughter, Collins, the two were moved to create Maker’s BoxTM, an all-in-one discipleship curriculum helping children – especially those who are hurting – connect with God as their Maker.

 

Carl and Jill live in Palm City and enjoy spending time with their three children and five grandchildren.

Jill Toth

Director of Curriculum

Jill Toth serves One More Child as the Director of Curriculum. She is passionate about teaching biblical truth to vulnerable children in clear, visual, and applicable ways.  

After graduating from the University of Arkansas, Jill began her journey in seminary classes where she met her husband, Carl. With 35 years of marriage, they have enjoyed a fulfilling life of serving in full-time ministry, particularly with One More Child.

In 2010, Jill and her husband, Carl, adopted five-year-old Collins from China in 2010. It was through this experience that a passion to bring hope and the Gospel to vulnerable children was ignited, inspiring the creation of Maker’s Box, our organization’s premiere discipleship resource box series which teaches children to view life through the lens of scripture.

Altogether, they have three children: Spencer (married to Savannah), Conner (married to Haley), and Collins.  When Jill is not working, you can find her cherishing moments with her five grandchildren: Cooper, Hadley, Wells, Josie, and Ford.
