Maker’s Box™ as a Mission Trip Curriculum

Here are two stories about how Maker’s Box™ impacted children through mission trips in Costa Rica and Uganda:

In July, amid the lush landscapes and vibrant communities, a mission team set out to impact 125 young hearts with the timeless story of Mephibosheth.  

Maker’s Box™ The One Who Rescues recounts the story of Mephibosheth, a child who lost his family but experienced a life-changing transformation when the king welcomed him into his own family. This narrative beautifully illustrates how King Jesus rescues our souls through the gospel. It is a powerful message that even precious Costa Rican children always have hope through our Savior. 

In Uganda, more than 1,000 children explored their identity as sons and daughters of the One True King through Maker’s Box™ lessons during their AWANA program.

Maker’s Box™ The One Who Listens teaches about the incredible privilege of being brought into God’s family, becoming His sons and daughters, His princes and princesses. Through the Lord’s Prayer, the Ugandan children listening learned that God sees and hears them through life’s ups and downs, and that they can talk to God in any circumstance.

Through the Lord’s abundant provision, the Uganda mission team found themselves with unused crafts, allowing the next team to carry forward the powerful message. The One who Listens was shared again, using more left-over crafts in Romania during a later trip. Truly, the Lord multiplied His blessings through this curriculum!

Maker’s Box™ is a curriculum series that simplifies and enriches the process of connecting with. Each box reveals one new attribute of God, helping children understand life through the lens of Scripture rather than through hard experiences or scary feelings.

The Gospel is integrated through four lessons, Scripture memory cards, and crafts, anchoring children in truth as they engage in creative activities.

Box themes include Calms, Comforts, Heals, Stays, Listens, Loves, Rescues, and Values. The One Who Loves is also available as a Spanish curriculum.
